Coupling. When does it happen? When do people become "A couple"?

Because I NEVER see it happen. I’m always the last one to catch on, when Nick and Charlotte are kissing

at work and I look over at the rest of my colleagues and point in shock the all shrug. So. Didn’t you

know? They’ve been going out for ages.

Have they indeed. Well excuse me.

I’m never there when it happens, which may well indicate why I myself am never part of ‘the couple’ I am

‘the single’; that awkward friend, everyone wants to set you up with someone, but hasn’t really got the

heart to do that to them. I sympathise. Besides most of my friends know that if they were to set me up with

someone I would probably do a Miss Piggy style karate chop in their general direction, and that is

something no one wants to witness.

So this is a request of those who couple- please, let me into the secret, is there some kind of club whereby

you regularly swap partners? Is there a magic password?

Because frankly, you all look a bit ridiculous to those of us who are single, and we’d love to catch you at it.

So. More breeding projects = me needing stuff I don't have, and can't get via the GTS as I haven't seen it.

This time, I need either a male Roselia above level 37 or a male Gulpin above level 28 (or L30+ male Swalot). I haven't got a hell of a lot on Platinum, but I do have a load of Eevees of varying natures with Charm, Baton Pass fresh out of the egg, and Wish bred onto them and a box of untouched Magnemites. Oh, and a few female Yanma left with Silver Wind if you like that sorta thing. I can also breed Feebas and Phione if anyone wants one of those.

And if anyone wants any of the Yanma just because, I can toss one to you for fodder or anything interesting. There's six of them; two are neutral natured, two Adamant, one Impish, and one Calm. All have Speed Boost except one of the neutral and one of the Adamant, with Compoundeyes.

Platinum file.
Lenneth/2321 2016 9739

Done! Thanks communtycard. But if anyone wants a Yanma, chime in.

I'm just looking for fodder for these, I'm partial to Starly but whatever works just as well.

Name: Amber D.
Age/Birthday: 23-April 22
Location: Saskatchewan Canada.

About Me:
I absolutely love reading. I volunteer at the local library & I get great deals on book sales (.25¢ -- they're usually .50¢ to $1.00). It's the small things that make me happy. I tend to play the guitar rather horribly, though I'm convinced I'm getting better. I crochet, and I kind of love what I make. So does my daughter. Well, I assume she does. She's only 2. She's easily amused, so I'll just keep on assuming she does. I watch terrible b-movies, zombie/post apocaplyptic movies, drug movies (Spun, Fear and Loathing, Requiem for a Dream, etc) & psychological thriller/horror films. I also love historical romance films & movies directed by Judd Apatow and Kevin Smith. As for music, I REALLY love Industrial, Drum & Bass, Hardstyle/Techno, Rock/Alternative, Nu Metal & Experimental. I smoke cigarettes, have the occasional beer or three & I refuse to do drugs these days. I'll be taking courses in September. In two years, I'll have a certificate in Business Management.

Penpal habits:
I'm not a picky person, nor am I all that "high-mainenance". I don't require letters with a minimum/maximum page setting, nor do I require absolutely everything to be decorated and fabulous. If I send a gift/package, I don't expect one in return, although I tend to send gifts to friends who I feel like surprising, not strangers (sorry). I've become friends with most of my penpals, and we've kept in touch via livejournal and facebook. It's handy when there's a lull between letters. I write between 4 to 40 doublesided pages, depending on the stationery I use and what we talk about. I don't really reply to 1 page letters/notes, I don't like wasting postage. Everything's handwritten, unless I recieve a typed letter. Only then, I'll type a response in return. I mainly swap slams, but I don't mind the occasional FB. I love mix-CDs, and mix-tapes are even better. I love handmade things, and I love making things for friends. I get along with pretty much everyone I meet, so I don't really care who you are, who you fuck & what you look like. I just ask that you be openminded, friendly & love writing.

If you're curious, I'll include links to pictures of my face.

lol. This is how I looked for the first week or two, with my second set of dreads. Good times.

My first set of dreadlocks. I combed them out a few days after this photo because I hated the sectioning.

I'd tell you to email me, but at LJ no one does that. People just comment, telling me to email them. So, away we go!

TITLE: Occlusion
AUTHOR: Allison Stillwell ([info]jaggedapple)
PAIRING: House/Cuddy
RATING: PG-13
WARNINGS: None.
SUMMARY: In the summer of 2007, Lisa Cuddy presents Greg House with a new patient, something that's an everyday occurrence. This time, however, the patient is thousands of miles away in a rural area of the West African nation of Ghana. Confused by both her reasons for demanding him to take such a case and the scant amount of information on his new patient, he follows her to Ghana. When they arrive at the rural clinic, they're faced with a mysterious and secretive doctor and a rather odd nurse who demands nothing of her employer, most especially not questions about her past. As they work with the patients at the doctor's clinic, they try to find a pattern in local maladies, but with no new information forthcoming from their patient with a self-imposed occluding of access to her past, they have an insanely difficult time coming up with an answer as the doctor's health declines rapidly.
DISCLAIMER: I don't own House.
NOTES: If you enjoy it, please do review! Previous reviews have been really helpful for new chapters and sections I've rewritten!

Chapters 1 through 18 can be found at the link above. A direct link to Chapter 19 is here:

Hey everybody, I have some Pokemon that need homes!
more under the cut )

I also have two spare Up-Grades and a few spare TMs (Sludge Bomb and Facade, one of each). If you want one, just ask me and I'll attach them to the Pokemon you want or to some fodder if you just want the item itself.

Fodder is fine. Heck, if you want to send me a Mystery Egg, go ahead!

Hey, me again ... with another annoying "where is that scene?" post.

Today, I am looking for the scene where Wilson and House are about to leave the hospital but House is staring thoughtfully in the clinic at Cuddy writting something at the nurses' station. Then they leave and Cuddy never looked at them and never knew she had been stared at.

I can't remember where I saw it ... and it's bugging me!

Anybody knows what episode it is from?

Thanks a lot!

The Corporation is a key word in today’s market place. The corporation assures us of a continued level of

of quality, of competitive rates and will do, it promises, what it says on the tin. Now and then I long for

someone who will not do what they say on the tin, I would like to pleasantly surprised- and if the cost of

being pleasant surprises is an equal amount of unpleasant surprises, I say so be it. Perhaps the most

offensive thing about the corporation is how hard it tries to be casual, to be cool, and to look like it is not

making money. But of course, we live in an active, if not entirely aggressive capitalist state and money is

all that matters. I work in a large book-selling chain, let us give them their privacy by calling them

"Riverrock". A pleasant name, no doubt. At the lowest level there are a number of booksellers in

matching t-shirts, students, academics, drifters and people who just like reading. All of them with a

passion for their books and their own sections in which they seem to excel. At the top level are…

‘management’ the omnipresent dark cloud of Head Office who may claim ‘people skills’, ‘team building

strategies’ and boast C.V.s just full of pointless courses, but have never read Dickens in their life. They

look at the charts and then send runners with suggestions down to the workers below. Once a month Head

Office send a mystery shopper to see how well the bookslaves are doing. A bookseller will get points for

smiling, for asking if the customer really needs a bag, for making small talk about the weather and for

pointing out the offer of the week. The bookseller will not get points for simply finding the book required.

By this criteria bright enthusiastic idiots who are nothing but a pain to customers, may score highly while

the best bookseller I know, an eccentric and not always sociable man, will score very low, despite having

wider intelligence and having read more books than anyone else I know. Surely what customers want is

someone who can help them, not someone who will beam at them and make small talk. Oh, but wait, how

foolish of me, the customer is not at the centre of the equation here, are they? No. They are the necessary

means for making money, the customer must be happy, or else they will not return and then money will

not be made.

It is not the lack of respect for the customer that really saddens me, it’s the lack of passion.

Recently "Riverrock"; the UK’s top seller of books, made the executive decision to stock "less books and

more stationary, gifts and electronics". It is, it really is, sad. That we have come to a world, where no one

seems to care about anything but their bank balance.

Title: Change my life for me
characters: House/Cuddy, Laurie and mentions of other characters
rating: PG, maybe NC-17 for a few scenes, but I'll warn you right on time
Chapter: twenty-eight "One is the loneliest number"
words: 2288
disclaimer: I don't own any characters, except the ones I created on my own.
A/N: This story is AU!

When Stacy left, Lisa knew what happened between them and Stacy always knew that there was something going on between House and Cuddy. Not while they were together, but before her. When Laurie told her about that today, or better said struggled with telling her, it hit her but she did her best to pretend it didn't. Of course she knew or suspected it but to literally hear it is another thing.
